CoolSculpting® is one of the best ways to boost your confidence in your figure. If you’re anticipating your first CoolSculpting session, there can be a lot to think about. Keep in mind that CoolSculpting is quick, comfortable and effective when it comes to putting the finishing touches on your body. Here’s what to know about CoolSculpting and how to get ready for your transformation.
What is CoolSculpting?
CoolSculpting is a non-surgical body contouring treatment that uses cooling energy to crystalize fat cells underneath the skin. This process causes the body to flush them out through the normal lymphatic pathways, permanently reducing stubborn pockets of fat.
How Much Does CoolSculpting Cost?
CoolSculpting cost is based on factors like the size of the area or areas being treated and the number of treatment sessions. It can also vary based on your location and CoolSculpting provider. In general, a multi-area procedure can cost an average of $2,000 to $4,000.
What Happens During CoolSculpting?
CoolSculpting can be performed right in our Scottsdale CoolSculpting center. During treatment, you’ll relax and recline in a comfortable treatment room while our licensed CoolSculpting technician performs your treatment. CoolSculpting is applied using a specialized hand-piece with an applicator much like a nozzle on a vacuum cleaner. A gel pad then applicator are applied to the targeted area. As the device treats the area, controlled cooling targets the fat and administers suction so that the skin and fatty tissue are pulled closer to the cooling source. There may be a feeling of pinching or pulling, but any pain is minimal – especially once the cooling energy causes the area to become numb.
After the procedure, the deep tissue is loosened up with a massage by the provider. A typical treatment can take thirty minutes to an hour, although it can be longer depending on your specific treatment needs. Many people catch up on their reading, work or tv show during the treatment session.
What Areas Can CoolSculpting Treat?
CoolSculpting comes with specialized applicators molded for many of the following areas:
- Lower and upper abdomen
- Love handles
- Outer and inner thighs
- Chin area
- Back and bra fat
- Beneath the buttocks (banana rolls)
What Can I Expect After CoolSculpting?
Once your CoolSculpting session is complete, you can return to your regular daily activities immediately. Results for the areas treated should become noticeable within three weeks. Optimal results are generally apparent within two to three months. The process of flushing fat will continue for a maximum of six months after treatment.
Some individuals and certain areas might need more than one session. CoolSculpting research has shown 79 percent of all people treated reported their clothes fit better after the treatment. In most cases, a second treatment is only necessary to treat a different part of the body. CoolSculpting is not meant as a replacement for a healthy lifestyle and is not a treatment for obesity. Results should be maintained with regular exercise and a healthy diet.
How Do I Prepare for CoolSCulpting
You won’t need to prepare for CoolSculpting like you would before surgery. However, CoolSculpting isn’t a good option for everyone. Before you consider CoolSculpting, make sure you’re at a healthy and stable weight – weight fluctuations like weight gain or loss (or caused by pregnancy) can negatively affect your results. CoolSculpting isn’t a weight loss procedure, and our CoolSculpting experts can help you assess your CoolSculpting goals to make sure it’s right for you. All you have to do is meet with our team to learn more and create a customized treatment plan.
