With all the hard work you’ve put in on achieving your body goals with diet and exercise, it can be frustrating when you’re left with stubborn pockets of fat. Sometimes, areas like the upper arms, stomach, or hips don’t show the definition you’re hoping for. If you’re looking for the best in professional treatments to improve muscle tone and put the finishing touches on the new you, then CoolSculpting® can help.
What is CoolSculpting®?
CoolSculpting® is FDA-cleared for non-surgical fat reduction using controlled cooling techniques. This is achieved through a selection of molded applicators that fit your unique treatment areas. With the DualSculpting procedure, we can use multiple CoolSculpting applicators to treat multiple areas in one session. There are no incisions or anesthesia required, and most patients enjoy a relaxing treatment session with a favorite book or show. After each treatment, your body gradually reduces fatty tissue through its normal metabolic functions. You can enjoy defined contours and results may be seen as early as 1 to 3 months after your customized treatment package.
Who is a Good Candidate for CoolSculpting®?
CoolSculpting® is an excellent option for patients looking for non-surgical fat reduction in areas like:
- Upper Arms
- Inner Thighs
- Double Chin
It’s important to note that CoolSculpting® is not a weight loss solution, and successful patients experience a loss of inches, not pounds. In order to respond well to CoolSculpting®, you should have inches of pinchable fat in your treatment areas, which often means you are within 20 to 30 pounds of your goal weight. For best results, you should be able to commit to a package of treatments to fully address each area. You should also have established a healthy lifestyle so that you can maintain your CoolSculpting® results for the long-term.
What is DualSculpting?
DualSculpting refers to any time multiple CoolSculpting applicators are used simultaneously for a procedure. DualSculpting is beneficial for patients who want to reach their goals quickly, safely, and effectively. With no incisions or downtime.
Results & Recovery
There’s little to no downtime required after CoolSculpting® and DualSculpting, and you can return to your regular schedule immediately after. It’s common to experience some temporary redness, numbness, or sensitivity at your treatment sites, but this subsides within a day or so. You’ll begin to see changes in at least three weeks with your final results emerging over the course of 4 to 6 months after treatment.

HOW MUCH DOES COOLSCULPTING® COST?
The cost of your CoolSculpting treatment package will depend on factors like the number of treatments needed, the number of treatment areas, and your goals for fat reduction. The average treatment package can range between $2,000 and $4,000 with these factors in mind. During your consultation, you’ll receive a full estimate of your CoolSculpting cost.
WHERE DOES THE FAT GO AFTER TREATMENT?
CoolSculpting causes the underlying fat cells to crystalize and cease functioning. Once this occurs, they are naturally absorbed as waste and processed through your metabolic system.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I GAIN WEIGHT AFTER COOLSCULPTING®?
It’s important to remember that you can still gain weight after CoolSculpting. However, if you do gain weight, you may experience it differently than before your treatment package. You can still gain weight evenly in other areas of the body rather than concentrating at your treatment area. For this reason, we recommend you already have a healthy lifestyle established before beginning your treatment.
WILL MEDICAL INSURANCE COVER COOLSCULPTING®?
CoolSculpting is an elective procedure and thus is not covered by major insurance companies. If cost is a concern, we can discuss financing options during your consultation.
WHAT DOES COOLSCULPTING® FEEL LIKE?
When your CoolSculpting treatment begins, you’ll likely feel intense cold at your treatment area. After around 5-10 minutes, the area will become numb and you can relax with your favorite book or show. Once the treatment is complete, your technician will gently massage the area, which can cause a tingling feeling.
IS COOLSCULPTING® SAFE?
CoolSculpting® has undergone numerous clinical trials over the years that it has been on the market. In fact, over 100 peer-reviewed publications have been released on CoolSculpting and its effectiveness. Read about CoolSculpting’s clinical studies here.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COOLSCULPTING® AND LIPOSUCTION?
Liposuction is a minimally-invasive procedure that requires small incisions to remove fat with a surgical cannula. Liposuction can require a few days of downtime and the use of medications to manage discomfort and swelling. CoolSculpting requires no incisions, downtime, or pain management.
IS THERE A “RIGHT” AGE TO GET COOLSCULPTING®?
Each patient is unique, so there is no “right” age to get treatment. The most important thing is that patients be 18 years or older before opting for a CoolSculpting treatment package.
IS COOLSCULPTING PERMANENT?
CoolSculpting approaches fat reduction differently than traditional diet and exercise methods. When you lose weight by a calorie deficit, the fat cells simply release some of their lipids and shrink to a smaller size. With CoolSculpting, these cells become crystalized and the whole cell is removed from the body. This reduces the number of fat cells present, not their size. In the long term, this means that you might gain weight differently because a number of fat cells have been permanently removed from the body.
HOW MANY COOLSCULPTING TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED?
Each patient will require a unique treatment package because of their goals and the way that their body responds to treatment. However, most patients require 1 to 3 treatments per treatment area. With each treatment, around 25% of the fat cells are eliminated in each area.
